When we stayed at Eurocamp Domaine des Ormes we tried the Ultimate holiday home — a three‑bedroom mobile home with covered decking. It felt quite different from the other places we’ve stayed, so here are the key upgrades and a simple layout description if you’re thinking of booking.
A big convenience was that the beds were made for us and an end‑of‑stay cleaning package was included. Arriving at 3 a.m., I really appreciated not having to strip and remake beds straight away. The covered decking has a nice outdoor dining set and two sun loungers. This is the largest option, and you can tell: the living area and main bedroom are noticeably bigger, and the main bed is larger and very comfortable.
The TV is basic and has no built‑in channels or satellite, so bring a console or streaming device. We plugged in a Switch to watch YouTube and play music. There was also free Wi‑Fi in the mobile home.
The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, microwave, kettle, Nespresso machine, toaster, fridge‑freezer, dishwasher and plenty of cupboards. Bed linen and two towels per person are provided, but you’ll need beach towels for the pools.
The layout includes a larger double bedroom and an open‑plan kitchen and living area. There seemed to be more storage than in some other mobile homes, which helps keep clothes and food tidy. One sofa converts into a sofa bed, so you can add a sleeping space in the living room if needed.
Top tip: if the outdoor furniture cushions are missing, check under the ottoman‑style main bedroom bed.
One downside for us was having only one toilet for four people — it was manageable for a week, but I prefer having two toilets when we go away and the Ultimate range didn’t offer that.
End‑of‑stay cleaning is included, but you still need to strip beds, empty bins and wash up. The cleaning team will handle toilets, showers and dusting, which is a huge help when you’re trying to leave with kids.
