Gymnastics is Isla’s favourite part of the week. Since we started with Gymfinity Kids her confidence has grown so much and she’s learned a lot since my last update. I love looking back on her journey and seeing the difference.
Last week she was doing cartwheels on the beam — I had to watch with my eyes shut because I don’t know how she does it! It’s wonderful to see her tackle more daring moves. Over time she’s moved from small, tentative steps on the equipment to much braver skills. I can still picture the early photos of her when she first joined the club.
If you want to try it, you can book a free taster session at a local Gymfinity Kids club to see if your child likes the class and the facilities. They also run birthday parties and holiday camps, which are great if you have a gymnastics fan at home. Use code GKMUMMY to waive the £20 joining fee.
Isla is in the intermediate two-hour class each week and is working on her Level 7 skills. She still has a few moves to master before moving up, but I love that I can log in and check her progress each week, especially before award weeks. Intermediate classes suit children who’ve got the basics down and are ready for higher-level skills like round-offs and walkovers, using all the equipment including beam, bars, vault and air track.
Find a club near you on the Gymfinity Kids website and check the timetable to see what’s available.
