Welcome to the July Photo Challenge 2020 — and thank you to everyone who joined in June. I love seeing your pictures and it’s lovely to welcome new faces. This month is all about summer, and for 2020 that includes life in lockdown. I’m excited to see what you share.
July brings full-on summer and the school holidays. For many families, term time became homeschooling while juggling work, which hasn’t been easy, but I’ve enjoyed helping the children and learning alongside them. We’ve studied the Victorian era, looked at William Morris, and read Harry Potter and The Sword in the Stone. I’ve even remembered more maths than I expected. I’ll be a bit sad when it’s over.

Thank you for sticking with this challenge for over two years — it’s addictive and I love it. There are more than 5,000 photos under our hashtag, which is incredible. I hope more people join in. I also love how each person interprets the daily theme differently; seeing those varied perspectives always makes me smile. I can’t wait to put together a roundup of my favourites.
