Welcome to the May photo challenge 2020 — and a huge thank you to everyone who joined in April. I love seeing all your photos and it’s great to welcome new faces. This month is full of birthdays: Isla turns eight (I can’t believe it) and Nanny’s birthday is at the end of the month — a busy birthday month in lockdown. What are you up to?
May brings more spring and plans for summer. Even while we’re still in lockdown, it’s lovely to see so many inspiring photos and ideas. I’ve also been enjoying the fun recipes and delicious bakes everyone has been sharing. Below are the photo prompts for the May challenge.
Thank you for sticking with this challenge for over two years — I really love it. It’s addictive, isn’t it? I hope more people join in. I love the subjective side of the challenge: everyone interprets each prompt differently and that always makes me smile. I’m excited to do a round-up of my favourites and I’m so grateful for your support in my photography journey.

May is usually a busy month for us with my brothers’ and my dad’s birthdays. This year we won’t be taking photos of them because of social distancing, but we did mark VE Day with a socially distanced street party. There are certainly lots of great things to photograph in May!
