Family-friendly tips for enjoying TUI Blue Tropical
We absolutely love Turkey and TUI Blue hotels—our last trip to TUI Blue Tropical in Sarigerme on the Dalaman coast was exceptional. It’s an all-inclusive, family-friendly resort with plenty of activities, dining options, and comfortable family rooms. Here are my favourite tips from our stay to help you make the most of yours.

The food scene is varied and genuinely family-friendly. I’m vegetarian, my husband is pescatarian, one child eats meat and the other is mostly vegetarian with a bit of poultry—so mealtimes can be tricky. All-inclusive made it easy for everyone to try things and find what they liked. We stayed two weeks and were never disappointed.

Breakfast was a highlight—fresh omelettes made to order every morning. The kids loved the English breakfast and the fresh fruit salads and treats in the kids’ corner. The main buffet caters to all tastes with fruits, cheeses, vegan and vegetarian options, meats, and little treats like donuts and waffles. Evenings have themed nights (Italian, Chinese, Turkish, etc.) and there’s a show-cooking station where chefs prepare dishes that change throughout the week. Check the restaurant’s front desk for special appetizers or drinks and consider entering the main restaurant from the pool-restaurant side if you like eating out on the balcony.

The children’s buffet is great for picky eaters—plain pastas and simple meats are available alongside the wider buffet choices, which is handy for younger kids.

You get three visits to the resort’s à la carte restaurants during a stay, but you must book them. Reservations can be made through the TUI BLUE app or at the lobby; they’re popular, so book early.

Keeping kids entertained is a priority here. There’s a kids’ club building by the kids’ pool and a teen hangout that our older kids enjoyed for board games and resort excursions. Activities run all day—football, pool exercise classes and more—so you don’t have to use the kids’ club to join in. Use the TUI BLUE app to view daily schedules and register your children for sessions.

Most family rooms are Junior Suites, which are spacious and well suited to families. There are two family room types: a larger option with two separate bedrooms and a smaller split-level suite like ours. Our suite had two single beds for the kids that convert to sofas, with a TV for cartoons, and a lower level with a double bed, balcony and dressing table. The wardrobe held our clothes, the shower was consistently hot and strong, and housekeeping was excellent. When booking, specify the room type you want and check the hotel layout map or tips in the TUI Blue Tropical Facebook group.

If you’re staying longer, get off-site for a day or two. We booked excursions from the village and a catamaran sunset trip through a nearby TUI hotel. If you prefer not to go into Sarigerme, the resort’s excursion desk can arrange family-friendly outings for you.

Themed entertainment nights, shows, quizzes and the white party were fun highlights. We made the most of the pools, the beach and walking around Sarigerme—the area is lovely.

One practical tip: join the TUI Blue Tropical Facebook group. Guests often leave items they don’t need—sunscreen, inflatables—outside their rooms and post about them in the group. There’s a regular swap of big floats; we bought a giant pizza float that became very popular until it popped before we left.

If these tips help you, I’d love to hear about your stay or any tips you want to share.
