Welcome to the May Photo Challenge 2020 — and a big thank you to everyone who joined in April. I love seeing all the pictures and welcoming new faces. This month we’re celebrating Isla’s birthday — I can’t believe she’s turning eight — and Nanny’s birthday at the end of the month. It’s a busy birthday month, even in lockdown. What are you up to?
May brings more spring and plenty of plans for summer. Still deep in lockdown, it’s been lovely to see so many inspiring photos and creative ideas. I’ve also enjoyed all the fun recipes and delicious bakes people have been sharing. Below are the photo prompts for the May challenge.
Thank you for sticking with this photo challenge for over two years — I really love it. It’s a bit addictive, isn’t it? I hope more people join in. I enjoy the subjective side of the challenge: everyone interprets each day’s theme differently, and the variety of images always makes me smile. I’m excited to do a round-up of my favourites. May is usually a busy month for us with my brothers’ and my dad’s birthdays. We won’t be photographing them this year because of social distancing, but we did mark VE Day with a socially distanced street party.
There are certainly lots of great things to photograph in May!
